Laura Whitmore is undergoing treatment for the injury that prevented her from competing on Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The blonde beauty was due to take the stage to perform a jive, with partner Giovanni Pernice, on Saturday evening but had to pull out last minute.
Earlier this week, the 31-year-old sustained an injury and didn’t realise the severity of it until she visited the doctor, who told her to rest and take a break from dancing to prevent permanent damage.
Today, Laura revealed she’s going to the physio for treatment and is hoping they’ll be able to tell her when she can start rehearsing again.
She tweeted, “En route to the Physio to find out when I’m allowed to put weight on my ankle again. Positive energy.”
An hour later, after her visit, she wrote, “Ok Whitmore, suck it up and do this! New week new start.”
The seasoned presenter is eager to put her dancing shoes back on and was “absolutely devastated” when she discovered she’d have to sit out last week’s show.
“Absolutely Devastated… It was a decision taken out of my hands. If it was my choice, I’d be on the dance floor doing my jive with Gio.” she wrote on Twitter.
“This was by far my favourite dance. We all train really hard. All of us dancing have aches and pains and I didn’t realise the severity of my injury until it was too late. I’m sorry to let you all down.”
