For Laura Whitmore, she would have been hosting the first episode of Love Island tonight. As it’s one of the most popular shows on TV, it will be sorely missed from our screens this summer.
However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the summer series has been cancelled this year as it would have been impossible to adhere to travel bans and social distancing rules on the show.
Laura shared on social media today; “This week Love Island usually starts and for me, as a huge fan of the show, it always felt like Summer had truly begun!”
Over the past few weeks Laura and her boyfriend, Iain Stirling – who also works on the show – have been doing TV quizzes to keep their followers entertained.
The pair have decided to do one one more special, specifically about Love Island “with all money raised going to Black Lives Matter charities.”
They’ll also be joined by some of our favourite islanders to “reminisce back to some of your favourite islanders and shenanigans.”
