“I didn’t think anyone would notice that I was gone.” Larry told The Sunday World.
“But I’ve had hundreds of texts and emails from people saying, ‘great to hear you back on air and that you are well’.
Larry, who has been on RTE radio since the 1960’s, currently presents the weekend show The Golden Hour on 2FM, and says he has no plans to give it up any time soon.
“You’d go mad doing nothing, I’ve never told anyone my age and nobody ever gets it right.
“The RTE press office used to tell the media who asked, ‘Larry Gogan is ageless’. I’ve never let it stop me doing what I love.”
