Krispy Kreme is set to open another Dublin store in 2021

As if positive news of a coronavirus vaccine wasn’t good enough, Doughnut giant Krispy Kreme has announced that it will be opening a brand new store in Dublin’s city centre.

The American brand already has one store located in Blanchardstown, and following its mammoth success, with weekly revenues of over €300,000  in it’s first few weeks, securing its spot as the company’s top performer in the world, a second location was a no brainer for head office.

The new Dublin location will be at Central Plaza on Dame Street, where old Central Bank has been ongoing constructions for a number of years. Although those familiar with the area will know that it hasn’t been looking much in these last couple of years, it is believed that the renovations will be completed early next year.

Announcing the news on social media, Brian Moran, senior managing director of Hines, said:

“Krispy Kreme will bring an exciting and beloved retail experience to a whole new customer base and will be perfectly located in the heart of Dublin.”

“With the Central Plaza project now nearing completion, we’re looking forward to seeing Krispy Kreme serving up its iconic doughnuts to a very expectant customer audience here in the city centre very soon indeed.”

We can just taste the original glazed already.
