Kerry Katona revealed she sent a heartfelt message to her ex-husband, Brian McFadden’s new wife, Danielle Parkinson, on their wedding day.
The TV personality and former musician was married to Brian from 2002 to 2006, and the pair share two children, Molly and Lilly-Sue.
Opening up in her weekly New! magazine column, Kerry admitted that she had messaged Danielle on her wedding morning, just days after reports suggested the former couple would “never be friends”.
“My ex, Brian McFadden, got married earlier this month and I just want to wish him and his wife Danielle a lifetime of happiness,” she shared.

Following claims that the singer had “burned all bridges” with Brian, she responded by saying: “I find it sad though that as he gets married, everyone writes stories about me.
“His wedding has nothing to do with me at all. I texted Danielle to wish them a happy day– it looked like a beautiful celebration and I hope they had a ball,” she added.
Kerry previously revealed that she “gets on really well” with Brian’s new wife, noting: “I think I might have a girl crush on her.
“I always go off of what my girls say for a stepmum, and she’s the best stepmum.”

Kerry’s gesture toward Brian and Danielle comes after years of a strained relationship with her ex, during which she publicly criticised his parenting.
In a 2023 podcast, she said: “He was a s**t dad. I’m the one who provides for them.”
However, in a more recent column, she shared how she wished they could have remained friends following their divorce.
Here’s to the future!
