Keith Duffy has blamed ‘Irish begrudgery’ for poor Boyzlife ticket sales.
The singer revealed to Evoke.ie, that he is disappointed in the lack of interest Irish fans have shown for his and Brian McFadden’s Boyzlife gigs.
He said, “Despite negative press in Ireland, the Conrad Hilton gig in Dublin is doing very well. There are still some tickets available here, but we’re Irish and we’re begrudging.
“Myself and Brian talk with Dublin accents and the only city we didn’t sell out in is Dublin. Work that one out.
“I remember as a kid watching Bono on The Late Late Show with Gay Byrne and seemingly Bono said something about the begrudging Irish and that past the M50 he’s really well liked.”
The ex-Boyzone and ex-Westlife star have sold out their all their UK dates but are still waiting for their Irish dates to sell out.
The boys will take to their Hilton stages this October, tickets are available here.
