After weeks of being held hostage, Katy finally reaches breaking point in Fair City.
She’s willing to go to desperate lengths in order to escape from her kidnapper – who she still doesn’t realise is Ciaran.
Katy comes up with a few possible scenarios, and begins to set her plans into motion.
She decides to tell her abductor that the shower is blocked, and while his back is turned, plans to steal a tool but it doesn’t go to plan.
She’s fed up, frustrated and devastated that things didn’t go her way, and in a moment of anger, flings the DVD player against a wall.
Smashing a DVD, and accidentally hurting herself, Katy now realises that she has a weapon.
