Ireland AM’s Katja Mia has addressed speculation, that she and boyfriend Daragh Curran have secretly gotten engaged.
The couple sparked engagement rumours after their romantic stay in the Dominican Republic in January.
While they did enjoy the holiday, it wasn’t an engagement trip. As the model told Life Magazine: “If I got engaged, I’d make a way bigger deal out of it. I just had to laugh it off.”
Stressing that she is focusing on her career at the moment, after landing hosting duties on Ireland AM’s weekend edition.
“I still have a lot to achieve before I even consider getting married. I’m only 26. I know, obviously, that’s probably the age when we should be popping out kids.”
“But I think now it’s changed, where a lot of women are more focused on work,” the Dubliner explained.
VIP Magazine caught up with Katja earlier this year where she gushed about her relationship with the Daragh, who has always been her biggest fan.
In fact, he even drives her to her early morning shifts on Ireland AM.
“It kind of works. He used to be the early bird in the relationship but now I am. I think we have a bit of a balance. At least during the week, we’ll have our own time together,” she told us.
“In terms of us going out for our pint every now and again, we still get to, it’s nice.”
“Daragh picks me up [after work] and he’s always on time and always waiting,” she added.
The couple have been together for five years.
Daragh is also a content creator, going by The Guinness Guru on social media.
