Kathryn Thomas has shared how her daughter, three-year-old Ellie is anticipating her mum giving birth to her new brother or sister.
Chatting to the Irish Sunday Mirror about the imminent arrival and how Ellie is anticipating the change, Kathryn shared just how emotionally intelligent the little one is, becoming “quite protective” of Kathryn and her bump.
“You know she says, ‘Don’t lift me out of the car mam, I can step down’” Kathryn began.
“Or, ‘The bump is very big today, don’t eat too much spicy food”
“She’s like ‘and you don’t drink wine anymore, you just drink water’”
Kathryn, daughter Ellie, and husband Padraig have been spending the last number of weeks prepping for the new arrival as Kathryn nears her due date.
Sharing recently how ‘great’ her pregnancy has been, Kathryn said: “I’ve been really lucky, I’ve had a great pregnancy, I’ve been able to be mobile. I haven’t been that sick”
“But it’s definitely been a more physical pregnancy this time than on my last one” she added.
“I feel it more. I kind of feel heavier and probably am a little bit less mobile in the last couple of weeks than I would’ve been on her (Ellie).”
