Kathryn Thomas has revealed she recently wrote a will with husband Padraig McLoughlin, in a bid to protect her family and clearly mark out her wishes for the future.
The pair decided to sit down together and write up the official documents after years of putting it off.
Kathryn only realised the importance of them, after a discussion online with her Pure Results Facebook community.
“We were having a chat about something one night — myself and all the women — and a conversation about wills came up and I had never made a will,” she said.
“So I was asking them what it’s like and how you do it and it’s something that I should have done pretty much after Ellie was born.
“It’s something that you think about but then you just put it at the back of your mind because you’re like ‘that’s the last thing I want to think about today.'”

Kathryn and Padraig chose one day to get it all out of the way, and can now rest easy knowing everything in order.
Speaking on Ireland AM she continued, “We took a couple of hours and it makes you talk through, you know, ‘what happens if…’ and planning for the future and getting everything boxed off. Then you just sign it and it’s done.
“How many times have we all heard of family issues where there wasn’t a will left or there were complications afterwards, so if it’s down in black and white, shove it in the safe. Done.”
The couple are parents to three-year-old Ellie, and Padraig has an older son named Conor too.
