Katherine Lynch has revealed she’s in talks with the BBC to bring her alter-go singin’ Bernie Walsh to the UK.
Singin’ Bernie Walsh was one of the three characters that featured on her television series Katherine Lynch’s Working Girls. Bernie proved to be a bit hit with Irish viewers – and it seems the BBC think she’ll also go down well over seas.
“We have a sitcom simmering away in negotiations with the BBC at the moment.” Katherine told the Irish Mirror.
“It’s called Settled and Singing Bernie Walsh and her family move in beside an English family who are very posh and cause havoc,
“That’s the gist of it. It’s all a work in progress.”
Katherine is certainly a busy lady at the moment, as she is currently taking part in the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars – but she admits her rigorous rehearsal schedule doesn’t bother her, as she’s enjoying every moment of the show!
‘‘It’s absolutely nuts but doing this has been the most fantastic time of my life – it’s amazing.” she said.
”It really is good for you – I don’t know about the competition side of things but I love the dancing.”
”I would say there will be an absolute line of celebrities lining up for next year.”
Here’s a reminder of just how hilarious Bernie Walsh was:
