Julian Benson has made a long-awaited return home, following a stint in hospital.
The Dancing with the Stars judge, who has cystic fibrosis, was in St Vincent’s during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, but has since returned to his humble adobe, where he is cocooning.
Speaking on the Six O’Clock Show, close friend Eoghan McDermott said, “Yeah he’s cocooning. The estate he’s in has a little communal green area and he’s been strolling around.
“He’s not hanging around with a load of people. He’s happy to be out.”
Eoghan added, “In wintertime, in general, he usually keeps himself to himself because any little infection like a cold or flu can be dangerous for someone with CF.”
Earlier this year, Eoghan shaved his head live on the Late Late Show in a bid to raise vital funds for the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
He raised an incredible €450k, which will go towards creating free accommodation for families of those in hospital getting treatment for CF.
