A documentary is in the works about The Pogues frontman, Shane McGowan.
Not only that, but America actor Johnny Depp is tipped to produce the documentary about his friend and inspiration for the past thirty years;
“Knowing Shane for 30 years, I am honoured to be producing the definitive film on both my friend and one of the most important artists and beloved poets of the 20th century.”
Apparently the doc will have unseen footage of the Irish singers life combined with illustrations and animations to fill in the gaps.
Julien Temple will be directing the feature length documentary and hopes to; “capture the unique force of Shane’s personality, even for a moment onscreen.”
Back in November, 2018 Shane married his long-term love, Victoria May Clarke, in a private ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark, following their 11-year engagement.
It was revealed at the time that Johnny Depp would be performing at the nuptials; “Johnny Depp is going to be the wedding guitarist.”
