After five years, Joanne McNally has finally said goodbye to her beloved The Prosecco Express.
Yes, we can’t quite believe it either!
Having done her first preview back in 2019 of what would soon become a hugely successful comedic tour, Joanne officially closed the book on that chapter of her life last night as she performed her final show in Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.
Taking to Instagram the comedian announced: “The Prosecco Express is finally dead!

“I don’t know how many Prosecco Express shows I’ve done exactly but it’s defo in the hundreds and honestly I absolutely loved (almost) every single one I really did!”
Continuing on, Joanne said: “I did a preview in 2019 to about 20 people and then obviously the bats got us so I lay In waiting and started the tour properly in Leicester Square Theatre in December 2021 and at that time I had one Vicar Street booked and sold and I was absolutely thrilled about it.
“I could never have imagined what was coming down the line for that show, from Gearoid Farrelly and I driving giant berocca tubes around Ireland to all the vicars to the London Palladium and the Hammersmith Apollo , to Oz , Dubai , NY , Canada it was wild!”
Joanne saw her tour out with six nights in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and she couldn’t have been more grateful for all the support she received along the way.
“The audiences were so amazing!? I couldn’t get over how good they were,” she added.
Before concluding her post, the comedian wrote a special word of thanks to her fellow comedian friend Gearoid who made it the ‘”dreamy tour that it was.”
“I’m off Back to the clubs to write a new one.”
We’ll be here, patiently or should we say impatiently waiting!
