Jim Carrey was amongst hundreds of mourners today as his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White was laid to rest.
The make-up artist died from an apparent suicide on September 28th, and Jim flew into Ireland yesterday evening to be with her family and pay his respects.
The actor arrived in Dublin with a small entourage before reportedly attending her removal at White’s Funeral Home, run by her grandfather last night.
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” he said when the news initially broke.
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her.”
Cathriona’s family have asked people not to send flowers, but to instead donate money to two charities – the Simon Community and the Circle of Friends.
