Actor Jim Carrey has spoken out for the first time after new details of his ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White’s death were revealed this week.
The comedian has made it clear that he wished the intimate details of his ex-partner’s tragic death had been kept private, instead of being released to the public.
Tipperary born Cathriona sadly passed away by suicide on 28th of September 2015. An official coroner’s report revealed the devastating details of her death this week, as well as the contents of a note, which was addressed to Jim.
In response to the release of these details, the Dumb And Dumber star penned some poignant words in a statement, saying that he wished the lives of his loved ones could be left in private, despite his job in the limelight.
“When I came to Hollywood to make it as a comedian, I soon learned that the details of my private life would be handed out to the media like free dinner vouchers. I never dreamed that the people I love most in the world would also be on the menu. What a shame. Regrettably, Jim Carrey,” he wrote.
