Jessie Buckley is on a winning streak this awards season, as she has taken home yet another award for Best Actress for her role as Anges Shakespeare at the 32nd annual Actors Awards, formally known as the SAG Awards.

This is Buckley’s fourth major win this season, after taking home a Golden Globe, BAFTA and Critics’ Choice, along with an IFTA at last Friday’s ceremony that took place in Dublin.

Last night’s award show took place in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, where some of Hollywood’s most prestigious names gathered.

This awards ceremony is closely watched by critics and fans as we move towards the Oscars, with actors making up the largest voting branch for the award. These Actors Awards, however, are voted on by members of the SAG-AFTRA actors union, meaning actors who vote in the academy pay attention to the winners here.

After coming out on top against Emma Stone and Rose Byrne, Jessie took to the stage to share her emotional acceptance speech: “I have been categorically changed by so many people in this room and beyond. To get to work with my heart in my hand and stand beside my brilliant, daring friends who show me their heart, I mean, what a way to spend a life.”

During her speech, Buckley also had a touching tribute to her Hamnet Co-star and date for the occasion, Emily Watson, where she paid thanks for their incredible friendship and her words of motivation.

“Your wild imagination, your brave womanhood and your ferocious gentleness have been a guiding light to me. Breaking waves, made me whisper to myself, that’s what I want to do. You’re the realest of the real. I hope I can continue to offer something meaningful back.”

As she continues to dominate the awards shows this year, it’s no wonder that there is growing Oscar buzz for Jessie. Many media outlets, fans and critics have all predicted an Oscar win for this incredibly talented Irish gal. However, it will be a tough toss-up between herself and Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick, who is also tipped to win at the Academy Awards ceremony on March 15th.

We cannot talk about Jessie’s win at the Actors’ Awards without mentioning her fabulous attire for the night. She walked the red carpet in a custom Balenciaga bustier dress, draped with a silky white veil, and paired with Balenciaga’s black Duchesse heeled pumps.

The look was complete with a classy red lip, which helped seal the deal on the look, which embodied the night’s theme of “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour from the 20s and 30s.
