Yesterday was a big day for Jess Redden and fiancé, Rob Kearney as they jetted off to Australia. The couple have decided to make the big move together for six months as a well needed break.
Sharing a snap from Dublin airport, influencer and pharmacist, Jess said; “And so our adventure begins #lifedownunder”
The pair will be living in Perth but are currently in Australia’s strict quarantine for 14 days in Brisbane. This means they are not allowed to leave their hotel room for a fortnight!
Sadly, Jess’s father passed away earlier this year, making this move a particularly tough choice. Speaking about the decision on her Instagram stories Jess shared;
“It wasn’t a black and white decision for me for obvious reasons and I didn’t know whether I would get here at all in the end – Feel blessed that I got to tell Dad we were going to live her for 6 months he was so happy and proud.”
“Thanks for my two boys for making this happen for me, going to hit the ground running and make the most of this precious gift.”
Jess and rugby star, Rob were due to get married next summer but after her father sadly passed away they made the decision to put their wedding on hold.
Speaking about this with the Irish Independent Rob shared; “It’s a big day for a girl, there’s a huge amount of emotions that come with that day, particularly when your dad’s not there not to walk you down the aisle.”
“Unfortunately it’s taken a real back seat now for us. Whenever she’s prepared and ready that she feels she can face that day, we’ll make it happen.”
