Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed she’s found it tough adjusting to life in lockdown.

The 2FM presenter, who’s mum to Florence and Enzo, admits it’s incredibly hard being away from extended family and friends, and struggles to think it may be like this for quite some time.

Speaking to TVNow Magazine, Jennifer said, “I was definitely winning in the first couple of weeks, had a bit of a meltdown then last week, so it is up and down to be honest. Up and down.”

She continued, “Now we are in a different phase so we have a prolong our reserves to really get through this. It was a bit of novelty at the beginning but now it is all a bit different isn’t it?

“And I hate everybody saying this is the new normal. I hate that. Because I hate not seeing our friends- and my kids not seeing their grandparents is not normal. I don’t want it to be the new normal.”

Jennifer has taken a few days off work to spend some time with her husband and their kids, leaving the show in the very capable hands of good friend and show regular, Lottie Ryan.

Taking to social media, Lottie said, “I’m very excited. I’m going to get to go into studio for the next few days and do the show so I’m really looking forward to it.”

“The only thing is, I’m going to have to get dressed, which I haven’t done in a while,” she laughed.

Catch her on RTE 2FM between 9am-12pm.
