Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed she’ll no longer be sharing any pictures of her children on social media.
The radio presenter, who’s mum to five-year-old Florence and two-year-old Enzo, wants to protect their privacy.
Speaking to her colleague Lottie Ryan on 2FM, Jennifer said, “She [Florence] is going to school soon so we kind of made a decision, myself and Lau, to not share so much.
“She’s getting a bit older now like she’s five now. She’s not a baby anymore and she’s more aware of herself and I don’t want her walking down the street and people recognising her.”
Jennifer added, “I made a decision on her birthday because it’s so easy to post and you think everybody wants [to see it].
“You think ‘oh that’s so funny what they just did’ or ‘they’re so cute’.
“Nobody wants to see pictures of your kids except for your family and friends so instead of posting it I just throw it into the family WhatsApp group and they appreciate it a lot more.”
Similarly, Pippa O’Connor previously revealed she was pulling back and sharing less of her family on social media for the same reason.
Speaking to Stellar Magazine, Pippa said, “With Ollie, he’s in school. He’s in Senior Infants and he might say ‘Oh someone said they saw me play golf the other day, or they saw me at the zoo, where did they see me?’
“He’s confused by it and I think that’s unfair of me to put things up that he doesn’t know about and then for other kids to talk to him about it because they’ve seen it on their mum’s phone.”
She continued, “I don’t really know if that’s right, I don’t really have his consent to do that. I think I’ve just naturally held back a little with Ollie as he’s gotten older
“Nothing happened, there was no prevalent moment. Over time, I just thought I’d pull back on that a little bit.”
