Jennifer Zamparelli has recalled the traumatic time her son suffered an injury just before she was due to go on air for Dancing With The Stars.
The situation left Jennifer feeling helpless as she received the news that her son Enzo had fallen just 10 minutes before she was set to go live for the hit TV show. Explaining the situation to TV Now Jennifer said:
“My son had slipped on the floor with the babysitter and I had 10 minutes to go live”
“I got a video from the babysitter, as he had smashed his face on the floor and lost his tooth. I couldn’t leave leave, they couldn’t have drafted in anybody that quick!”
After the show, Jennifer said she couldn’t wait to get back home and tend to her son. This is where more problems arose for the 40-year-old, as she received a speeding ticket from the Guards on her way back to her Dublin 6 home.
“It was one of the hardest shows I have ever had to do, and then I got a speeding ticket coming home!”
“I put the foot down driving from the studio and the Gardaí stopped me”
“I tried to explained about the tooth; tried to drop in Dancing with the Stars, nah, didn’t budge. It was my first ticket ever.”
Dancing With The Stars did not go ahead this year due to COVID 19. However, Jennifer is far from bored, as she is hosting a brand new game show on RTÉ called Home Advantage. Speaking about her new gig she said:
“I didn’t know RTÉ was making anything at all! I was pleasantly surprised but it was kind of perfect for me, where I want to be, and what I want to be doing”
“We do a quiz on my radio show everyday and it is the one part of the show that I really enjoy and live, speaking to the punters when they come on”
“So when I heard about Home Advantage, I thought I really want to get involved. It is a little crazy on the schedule but it will be well worth it.”
