Jedward have revealed they’re going to shave off their signature quiffs this weekend in a bid to raise vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

The pair, who rose to fame on the X Factor in 2009, have always been known for their sky-high blonde ‘do – but now it’s time for change.

The Irish twins hope to draw attention to the charity – and the illness – by cutting off their gruaig during Friday night’s Late Late Show.

“We hope all the funds raised will contribute to a cancer-free future,” they said.

“This is such a good cause and we’re sending so much strength and love to all those suffering with cancer.”

Part of the reason for doing this, is also to honour their late mum Susanna, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2019.

Speaking to VIP Magazine, Edward recently told us that they regularly dream about their mum, and it brings them great comfort.

“I love when I have a dream about our mom; that feeling that you’re in the same room again. I know it’s just your thoughts but it really lifts me to start my day when I dream about her,” he said.

“Our mom isn’t here physically but she’s definitely here in spirit. Even in how we are as people and how we go about things.

“When you lose someone you love, you have to think about their whole life, not just them not being here, and everything they brought to the world.”
