Jamie Dornan’s father Jim has sadly passed away at the age of 73.
The renowned doctor, husband to Samina and dad to Liesa, Jess and Jamie was loved and appreciated by all those he crossed paths with.
Known as a ‘visionary’, ‘one-of-a-kind’ and an overall ‘wonderful man’, he’ll be missed dearly.
Paying tribute to Jim, colleagues, friends and patients shared their condolences with the family on social media.
Nichola Rooney, chair of Division of Clinical Psychology NI said, “The great Prof Jim Dornan. One of a kind. His glass brimmed over.
“A true visionary. [In the] early ’90s he saw the benefit that Clinical Psychology could bring to the women in RMJH & made it happen. My friend. RIP. Love to Samina, Liesa, Jess & Jamie.”
Dr Laura McLoughlin added, “Absolutely devastated at the sudden passing of Professor Jim Dornan. A legend in his field and a friend of mine who helped make me the doctor I am today. He was one to the greats. I hope there’s a decent golf course where you are Jim!”
