The Fifty Shades of Grey heartthrob will star in My Dinner with Hervé, a show about French actor Herve Villechaize.
Jamie plays struggling journalist Danny Tate in the show that has just been given the green light by HBO.
Penned by Hitchcock writer Sacha Gervasi, the newly commissioned series will also star Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage.
The Emmy winning actor who plays Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones will also take up the role of executive producer.
