Jamie Dornan has opened up about sexual objectification at work, revealing that it’s not just women who endure it, but men too.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star, admitted that there’s been times in the past there he has been sexualised, and knowing how it feels, both completely understands and relates to women who have a problem with it.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, Jamie said, “I feel very subjective a lot of the time at work. So I wouldn’t say I’m relatively not objectified in the workplace. I am. It’s not just women, but men too.
“I understand why women have an issue with that. I know it’s something that a lot of people have an opinion on.”
The Irish actor went on to explain that the sexualisation of women on screen, isn’t something he’s a fan of.
“There’s more of an active taste for women to take their clothes off and be seen as a sex object. That can be gratuitous and I don’t agree with that,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jamie has opened up about life outside his acting world, revealing what life is really like with two very young daughters.
