James Kavanagh paid a touching tribute to Martyn Hett who’s funeral took place today.
The social media personality died in the Manchester terrorist attacks on May 22nd.
Martyn was laid to rest in Stockport today at a funeral attended by a large crowd.
Irish snapchatter James Kavanagh attended the funeral today along with illustrator Holly Shortall and many many others.
The Dubliner took to Instagram to share a photo of he and his group of friends attending the funeral.
He captioned the photo: “Members of Martyn’s Irish fans”
James also added details of how special the funeral was.
“What a stunningly beautiful send off for a stunner of a human.
“Michelle McManus sang beautifully, Mariah bloody Carey sent a video message and the entire of Coronation Street was there.”
He then added that his favourite moment involved Martyn’s father.
“But my favourite bit was his dad and how he kept reminding people that the only way to deal with all of this is unity and love. Hate doesn’t solve anything. And to keep living life to its absolute fullest. Bye for now, @martynhett #BeMoreMartyn”
James previously revealed that he and Martyn became ‘real life’ friends after being ‘internet’ friends for about a year. He added that the relationship “blossomed into a joyous friendship and I loved having in my life”.
