Jake Carter has admitted to having a bit of a crush on his dance partner Karen Byrne.
The pair has been working together for a number of months now on Dancing With The Stars.
Though he insisted the pair are just “great friends” when asked if he has a secret crush on his dance partner he said: “who doesn’t?”
Karen is in a long-term relationship with professional dancer Wojtek Potaszkin, and they have a dance school together in Dublin.
Speaking about his relationship with Karen, the 19-year-old told the Mirror: “We just get on so well, we’ve really clicked. We’ve been putting in 12 hour days together so it makes it so much easier that we get on.
“I’ve made a friend for life there.”
Speaking to TV Now, the singer praised the show bosses for pairing them together.
“The bosses of the show knew what they were doing when they put people together and the first day with Karen we just clicked. I have never laughed as much as I have done with Karen the last few months.
You have to get along, you are spending 10 hours a day together, she’s been brilliant.”
When discussing his own romantic relationship status, Jake stated that he is “single and ready to mingle”.
Jake and Karen are in the final of DWTS after being in a dance-off against Erin McGregor and Ryan McShane on Sunday night.
“It’s kind of sad that it’s coming to an end but I’m so happy to have made the finals,” Jake said.
