Lottie Ryan has spoken about her Italian wedding to Fabio Aprile last month.
The 2FM radio presenter revealed details of the celebrations which took place in the village of Casalattico, Italy, surrounded by family and friends, and it sounds absolutely stunning.
“It was very Italian – that was the reason I wanted to go to Italy. I wanted my side of the family to experience the Italian culture,” she said on 2FM’s Breakfast Republic.
“There was loads of wonderful little Italian traditional things we did but I think maybe the most Italian thing, which is a thing most people do at weddings there is La Serenata.
“The idea is the bride sneaks back off to the apartment or wherever she’s staying and gets into her dressing gown and is asleep in bed and then the groom comes with all the wedding guests to the apartment with a band.
“Then he gets to the balcony, where the bride is staying and starts to serenade her… Fabio can sing luckily.
“That’s as Italian as it got.”
