It seems that Late Late Show presenter Ryan Tubridy has been fooled by a crafty prankster! The RTE presenter received a letter to his desk last week that claimed to be from US acting legend Julia Roberts, but it seems now that it was all a hoax.
Although the correspondence seemed somewhat odd, Ryan remained open minded about the author of the letter.
Speaking to his listeners on Radio 1 he said, “I don’t know whether someone is taking the mick out of me or whether there is an Irish guy who works with Julia Roberts who got her to sign this to me, but either way, the mystery continues.”
Well the mystery has now been solved, as the attorney for the US star confirmed to the Daily Edge that she did not send any letters to Ryan or the station.
“We are confirming that Ms. Roberts is not sending any letters and/or autographs to Mr. Tubridy or his radio station, nor does Ms. Roberts have an assistant by the name of Sean McCormack. Hence, it appears that Mr. Tubridy is the victim of a hoax,” he said.
Now only one question remains- who did send the letter?
