While the 25-year-old is best known for her beautiful looks and expansive modelling career, Roz Purcell wants to focus on career as a foodie now.
The Tipperary native has revealed that she wanted to be a chef when she was younger, and despite her impressive modelling portfolio, wants to go back to her childhood dreams.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Roz said, “When you first start modelling you kind of do everything but I want to be known more for food now.
“I still haven’t stopped modelling fully but food is my passion and it’s so much fun. Modelling is too, but it’s not forever.
“I’ve always been into cooking and baking and growing up I wanted to be a chef but I kind of thought I missed my chance.
“I thought modelling had wiped that away from me, that I wouldn’t be able to do it again.”
Roz Purcell has become a successful model since representing Ireland in Miss Universe 2011, and although she’s done countless photoshoots, has insisted that she will never bare all.
“I don’t remember getting any offers [from lads’ magazines] like that.
“I went straight into high fashion modelling and I wasn’t really into anything like that…no I wouldn’t do it now,” she said.
Roz has been busy lately carving a career for herself in the food industry. She opened a pop-up shop in February featuring her own recipes, and her Natural Born Feeder cookbook hit shelves just a few months ago.
Most recently she announced that she is a mentor in Taste of Success, RTE’s newest food entrepreneur series.
We can’t wait to see it!
