I’ll keep choosing you.”
“We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day in our house with flowers or cards as we find that side a bit too commercial, but it’s still a good opportunity to tell others how much they mean to you, whether it’s your better half, your children, your granny, mum, dad, brother, sister… or dog! It’s nice to celebrate LOVE in all of its forms and give those you love an extra hug.”
Síle Seoige shared that she was having a very special Valentine’s Day since welcoming her second child into the world. Posting a snap of some lovely handmade cards from her little ones she said; “I totally get that many are not into Valentine’s day due to it’s commercialism (which is a valid reason) but I also think that can be used as an excuse to not mark the occasion.”
“You can still show love to yourself, your significant other, your kid or kids, pets, parents, pals…whoever is in your life and means a lot to you, by spending very little or nothing at all.
Thoughtfulness costs nothing but can mean so much.”
Continuing she added; “I’m not gonna lie…I love it and this year is certainly my favourite yet. I’m still getting used to having a son….and a daughter! And I thank the universe every day for all that I have. I know how lucky I am and I am savouring every second as the baby stage goes by so fast.”
If you’re still waiting for your dream to come true, whatever it is for you…Let life surprise you. Trust in the uncertainty you’re in and never give up. Grá mór.”
