Irish stars get in the St Patrick’s Day spirit as they celebrate at home

Last week marked one year since the nation first went into lockdown, making this our second St Patrick’s Day of the pandemic.

A day we would usually spend with friends and family at a parade or out for drinks, it is unusual for us all to be spending it at home.

However, the sun has decided to make an appearance for us today and many famous Irish faces have been making the most of it as they celebrate from home!

Aoibhín Garrihy had her two little girls Hanorah and Liobhan decked out in matching green dresses today and they look adorable.

The actress and wellness advocate posted the snaps captioned; “Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad. A light heart lives long.”

“These ladies lifting ours this St Patrick’s Day…have a great one all.”

Jewellery designer, Chupi Sweetman shared a gorgeous snap of her little girl Aya almost entirely lost inside a Paddy’s Day themed hat!

“The hat said child’s size, but I think they may have meant it fits a whole child!” she said.

“I didn’t mean for Aya to be the angriest leprechaun but when the giant hat slipped down her face was too comical!”

“There are so many things that Ireland can do better at, but there are also so many wonderful things about this tiny island of ours. So for today a very happy st Patrick’s Day.”

Ailbhe Garrihy shared a gorgeous post of her and her little boy, Sean enjoying some sunshine today.

Both of them were fully in the spirit of things, dressed head-to-toe in green. She captioned the family snap; “Feelin’ lucky. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”

Laura Whitmore looked stunning today in a lime green dress. Twirling around her garden she also shared a hilarious throwback to her, and husband Iain Stirling, making their first TikTok video last year.

She captioned the post; “Happy St. Patrick’s Day! It’s a celebration being Irish everyday but an even bigger excuse today to enjoy it! Go Leor Grá.”

Pippa O’Connor fully embraced the lockdown spirit this year, posing in some gorgeous green loungewear.

The Mum-of-two shared; “Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone.”

“May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.”
