Irish Love Island fans all have the same complaint with the reality series

Love Island is one of, if not the, most popular reality show around. But that doesn’t mean no one has their gripes with the hit series, as Irish fans in particular are irritated with a reoccurring trend the show continues every year – not expanding the public vote to Ireland.

Since 2022, the series has feature voting to select couples, pick new bombshells, and boot islanders from the villa, through the Love Island app. But this feature excludes Irish fans, with voting lines not be opening to the ROI.

This has been an issue for a while, with 2022’s Dami Hope saying that he believed he and girlfriend Indiyah Polack could have placed higher than third, had Irish votes been accepted.

But last night’s episode really set things over the edge, as Dubliner Catherine Agbaje was placed in the bottom three and nearly eliminated. The episode also featured Ireland heavily as Catherine and new bombshell Scott Van Der Sluis, who has been living on our shores as a League of Ireland goalkeeper, chatted about the capital as they got to know each other.

With everywhere from Blanchardstown to 22 getting a shout out.

Needless to say fans are not happy that Irish islanders are on the show, but they have no way of supporting them.
