“We’re Done.”
Irish Love Island contestant Matthew McNabb has thrown in the towel with Kaz Kamwi, sick and tired of playing second fiddle.
In last night’s episode we saw the drama unfold as Kaz let her feelings for Tyler be known, to everyone except Matthew, who she’s coupled up with… awks. When handsome Belfast Islander Matthew strolled in, he quickly showed an interest in fan favourite Kaz, but things got complicated very fast.
Kaz was still holding the door “ajar” for her previous flame Tyler, which didn’t sit well with Matthew, Kaz was looking for 100% from both boys so she could make up her mind, keeping them as options despite refusing to be a second option herself.

After a dramatic dumping the girls saved Tyler to give Kaz a chance at love, which further confirmed Matthew’s doubts. It was revealed in a lads chat, that Tyler was excited to rekindle things with Kaz, without realising she had not spoken to Matthew right away, quickly apologising for dropping it on him.
Matthew asked Kaz why he was hearing about it in front of the lads and she said “I’m not going to apologise for talking to the girls first”, which saw the first glimmer of annoyance in Matthew’s cool exterior. He later pulled Kaz again for a chat, in one of the most iconic line’s of the series yet he said “we’re done”, followed by a very brief explanation and walked away, leaving Kaz gobsmacked.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to discuss the matter, creating memes and fake merch saying his infamous one liner. He also received a boatload of support from fans being dubbed “the king of Ireland”, and sympathetic words for how he has been treated.

So what’s next for Matthew? Is this the end of his Love Island journey? Will a new Islander come in and grab his attention? Maybe he and one of the other girls will hit it off.
Go on Matt! We believe in you!
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
