Dublin actor Emmett Scanlan has revealed that he and his wife Claire Cooper are anticipating the arrival of their first child together very soon.
Sharing a picture of a baby scan, Emmett revealed that he and his wife don’t have too much longer to wait until their little one is here.
“Coming soon, to a theatre near you” he captioned the image.

Continuing on in jest, Emmett added:
“And by ‘theatre’ I mean hospital, and by ‘you’ I mean me. Coming soon to a hospital theatre near me is what I really meant to say, but it just didn’t have the same ring to it…forget it, It’s over discussed at this point. #BabyScanOfBabyScan.”
Emmett first announced news of the new arrival a month ago, sharing a stunning snap of his wife Claire cradling a baby bump.

The 41-year-old who is best known for his role as Brendan Brady in UK soap Hollyoaks married British actress Claire Cooper back in 2015.
The pair met while working alongside one another on the Channel 4 soap, soon turning their on-screen friendship into an off-screen romance. Emmett has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship, who he remains extremely close with.
