Film director’s all over the world have spoken out in support of actress Kiera Knighty after Irish director John Carney openly criticised the actress in a magazine interview.
John’s comments have faced harsh criticism from the public and fellow industry elites.
Never Let Me Go director, Mark Romanek didn’t hold back when he took to Twitter to vent his frustration with the Irish director.
Mark tweeted, “My experience with #keiraknightley was utterly spectacular on every level. I have no clue what this guy is talking about. #arrogantshithead”
The Never Let Me Go director wasn’t alone in his thoughts either, a number of directors who had previously worked with Kiera also spoke out in support of the brunette beauty.
Director Lynn Shelton tweeted, “Working with #KeiraKnightley was magnificent, top to bottom. She is the real deal. #Knightleylove”
Lorene Scafaria backed up Mark and Lynn’s tweets saying, “@Lieryn @markromanek I agree with Mark. Keira was a joy to work w/. Present & easy & really, really good at her job. Just lovely.”
Fans alike were equally unimpressed with John’s criticisms. The hashtag #Knightleylove started trending on Twitter as soon as the news of John’s interview broke.
