Irish designer, Simone Rocha is the latest to team up with H&M

It’s always exciting when H&M announce their latest designer collaboration and TBH, after their last one with cult brand The Vampire’s Wife we didn’t think they could top it. Turns out the Swedish brand have done exactly that as they announced their latest collaboration with Simone Rocha.

The Irish designer is best known for her stunning dresses (Nicola Coughlan wore one on The Late Late Show last night!) as well as beautiful accessories. Weird, quirky shoes, headbands and pearls are some of her trademarks.

As much as we love Simone’s designs they are slightly out of our price range, so seeing her team up with an affordable brand like H&M is exciting.

So what can we expect from this collection?

First of all, it will not only include womenswear like most H&M collabs, but will also have menswear and childrenswear too! There is something slightly dreamy about the thought of having the whole family kitted out in Simone Rocha.

But back to the really important stuff, the womenswear. The collection is set to feature occasionwear like tulle dresses and tailoring as well as trenches, casual t-shirts, knits, shirts and accessories.

Speaking of accessories, from the images released so far it’s looking like there will be lots of Simone’s signature pearls and embellishment. After a year spent in tracksuits and loungewear we are so ready for something with some sparkle and glamour.

Simone is the very first Irish designer to have a collaboration with H&M and is so excited about this collection.

“I am so thrilled to be working with H&M on this very special collection. It truly is a celebration of the signatures of my brand, and the influences that have shaped me,” she said.

“As a designer, and as a customer, I’ve been such a fan of the H&M collaboration concept. Margiela, Alber Elbaz, Comme des Garcons – it’s such an amazing list of alumni to be a part of.”

As if this collection couldn’t be any more desirable, it also features Daisy-Edgar Jones, from Normal People fame, in the campaign.

The Vampire’s Wife collection from last year sold out in less than thirty minutes online so you’re definitely going to need to set an alarm for this one as it’s sure to be even more popular.
