Irish actor Dylan Moran joins the cast of upcoming Netflix show

Dylan Moran is joining the cast of the upcoming Netflix show The Witcher: Blood Origin. The show is a prequel to the popular show The Witcher and is set 1000 years before the original series.

Dylan, an Irish comedian and actor, will play the role of Uthrok One-Nut in the six-part series.

Although Dylan isn’t the only Irish star joining the series. Actor Laurence O’Fuarain will also be joining the cast, while Waterford native Declan de Barra will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the show.

Other stars who will be joining the series include comedian Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Nathaniel Curtis, Francesca Mills and many others.

According to the synopsis, the series “will tell a story lost to time – the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal in ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.”

There’s no exact release date just yet, but we can expect it to begin streaming on Netflix in 2022.
