Ireland is host to even more Hollywood A-listers this week for the filming of Disenchanted

Disney’s new flick Disenchanted has been the talk of the town over the past couple of months as its all systems go with the shooting in various locations around Wicklow and Dublin.

With sightings of Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and Maya Rudolph in Ireland, taking in the sights from Irish landmarks to some of our best Dublin grub (we’re looking at you Leo Burdock and Two Boys Brew!) It looks like the Hollywood stars are settling in well and just in time, as they can now show Idina Menzel and James Marsden the ropes.

Announcing that they landed in Ireland, Disenchanted director Adam Shankman confirmed the pair were here with a picture of all three of them, writing:

“Found my #potsofgold. In Dublin. Edward and Nancy.” CUTE!

Those who loved the OG flick Enchanted will probably remember these two and their characters. Returning as Nancy and Prince Edward, can you believe it was 2007 when these actors took to our screens in those roles? This whole cast needs to share their beauty secrets and STAT.

With the first film taking place in New York City after Amy Adams (Princess Giselle) was banished from the fairytale land of Andalasia to the hustle and bustle of New York, it’ll be interesting to see what road they take with this movie and how the picturesque village of Enniskerry, Co Wicklow will feature – the whole town went under a Disney revamp that included lots of new building structures and store fronts.

Over the summer, Enniskerry has also become a notable spot for fans on the weekend drives, popping down to the set and snapping photos with everything from the princess carriages to the adorable and colourful looking buildings.

Also, did you see this Disney revamp in Greystones? Just LOOK at those flowers!

Filming is set to continue until August this year, while Disenchanted is set for release on Disney+ in 2022.
