Ireland AM was thrown into unexpected chaos this morning when a fire alarm suddenly went off, forcing the staff to and presenters to evacuate and abandon their usual morning routine.
However, not to worry folks as it was all confirmed to be a false alarm — whew!
Taking to Instagram to update her followers, co-host Muireann O’Connell couldn’t resist filming the drama as it unfolded.
“The fire alarm just went off so we are fully having to leave,” the presenter explained.

“Sonia O’Sullivan has to leave, Erica’s first day here and we think it’s Erica fault.
“Sorry that this is happening,” Muireann laughed, referencing Sonia who was a guest on the show this morning.
Producers could be seen rallying the team outside as everyone waited for the all-clear.
Shortly after however, everyone was able to to return to the studio and continue with their normal working day.
“We’re back,” Muireann told her followers.
“No fire, but we followed the fire procedures.”
The unexpected interruption is sure to be one to remember, but in true Ireland AM fashion, the team handled the hiccup with plenty of humour and charm.
