Imelda May has confirmed she’ll be making her acting debut in a new movie Fisherman’s Friends 2.
The Irish singer will be joining the likes of James Purefoy,Maggie Steed and Dave Johns to shoot the second instalment of the movie.
Imelda will play the role of Aubrey Flynn, and she reveals things are going well, as filming has just kicked off in the UK.
“So the big secret is…. I’ll join the original cast to tell a beautiful story on the shores of enchanting Cornwall,” she said on social media.
“It’s a bit of a dream of mine to be honest. I’ve certainly been called a drama queen,” she joked.
“So far it’s truly been an absolute honour to work alongside Meg Leonard, Nick Moorcroft, James Spring, James Purefoy my other cast mates. Adventure calls and so I follow!”
It’s a very exciting week for Imelda, as she announced a number of Irish and UK shows for spring 2022.
“I cannot wait to see you all again when I tour next April,” she beamed.
“To dance and sing together, to connect and feel the sparkle in a room where music makes us feel alive and elevated for a while. A magical feeling we can only get from live music.
“Tickets go on general sale Friday 16th April at 10am for all Irish shows and Friday 23rd April at 10am for the UK. Let’s go!”
