Imelda May has shared a loved up snap of her boyfriend, Niall McNamee as they celebrated his birthday this week.
The Irish singer, who doesn’t share much about her romantic life, posted a snap of the pair out for dinner, with Niall enjoying a pint of Guinness.
Captioning the picture she said; “Happy Birthday Niall!!!! You’re my best friend and total hero. Get in!!!!!”
Speaking with RSVP Live about their romance last year Imelda said, “It’s going really so far, touch wood. I’m normally really private, I’ve had relationships that nobody has known about and they’ve come and gone.”
“And I normally keep things quiet but this one seems to have taken wings, gotten out there so that’s ok. So far so good. I take things in the moment.”
The pair were friends since 2018 but began a romantic relationship during lockdown in 2020.
Appearing on Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything Imelda seemed happy to talk about Niall saying, “He is a messer and he makes me laugh, he’s brilliant. And he makes me laugh a lot. We’re a good pair.”
