Imelda May has shared a touching tribute on social media to her ex-husband Darrel Higham to celebrate his birthday.
Taking to Instagram to share her best wishes for Darrel’s birthday, the singer wrote, “Happy Birthday to my lovely ex-husband and great friend Darrel.
“The coolest rocker in town! Hope you have the best day bopping at the house of bop. Love Imelda. @darrelhighammusic.”
Darrel thanked Imelda underneath the post, writing, “It’s been a while since I bopped! Thank you, my favourite ex-wife.”
While others also commented to wish Darrel a happy birthday, as well as commenting how great it is to see the two in a good place.
Angela Scanlon wrote: “Conscious uncoupling at its greatest.” Another follower commented, “And that’s how you have a healthy relationship with your ex.” While yet another said, “Happy birthday Darrel!! May your year be filled with bop and gigs.”
Imelda and Darrel separated back in 2015, but have remained on good terms ever since while they co-parent their daughter Violet.
