Singer Imelda May has announced she is postponing her French tour, following medical advice over a recent illness.
Sharing news with fans on Instagram, the Dubliner wrote: “It is with regret that we announce the postponement of the IMELDA MAY French tour scheduled for September 2022. Unfortunately due to illness, the tour will be postponed to a later date that we will communicate to you as soon as possible.”
“Your tickets are still valid for the rescheduled tour. Ticket holders wishing for a refund are advised to contact their point of purchase.”
“We deeply regret this postponement and thank the audience for their understanding.”
Just a few hours later, Imelda thanks fans for their well wishes and support, reassuring them she was feeling all right.
Explaining: “I’m getting a flood of well wishes. Thank you so much. I’m not seriously ill.”
“It’s what I call ‘ Road Rot ‘ Lots of bits going wrong. Too often have tests and treatments while going full pace. Physically exhausted. Just following Drs advice and taking time to heal. I won’t be long ! Imelda x”
