Maura Higgins has apologised to fans for cancelling a personal appearance last minute, as she reveals she is ‘shattered.’
The Love Island star has been in high demand since leaving the Villa last month, with a new role on ITV’s This Morning, as well as news that she is set for her very own reality show!
Now, the Longford beauty has revealed that she is taking a few days to herself after visiting a doctor due to being ‘run down’ and ‘burned out’
“I wanted to come on and say to everyone that was coming to see me at my personal appearance that I’m so sorry I didn’t make it,” she told Instagram stories.
“To be honest I am completely burned out. I haven’t had a day off since leaving the Villa and I’ve not had any social time or anything. So I need to take a few days off and just kind of sort my head out.
“I’m just completely run down, I have been in with a doctor, and i’m feeling good because last night I had a really, really good sleep and I hadn’t really got a lot of sleep since leaving the Villa.
“I do feel bad obviously that I’ve had to cancel some work for the next couple of days but I need to do it for me because I’m shattered. I’ve not had any time just for normal day to day stuff like going for dinner or going to the cinema, I’ve not had that, and I need to because it’s good for the head to get out and do normal things.
“I think it’s just a big shock to the system when you come out of the Villa and you’re just so hectic. I’ve not had a down day.”
Maura left the Villa with DWTS Ireland star Curtis Pritchard, and the pair were just spotted out and about on a double date with Curtis’ brother, and fellow ballroom dancer Aj – and his girlfriend, Abbie Quinnen, amid rumours the pair had split.
After taking some well deserved down time, Maura will be chatting to Ryan Tubridy on the first Late Late Show of the season, due to hit our screens next Friday!
