Dublin R&B singer Erica Cody has opened up about her feelings on the Black Lives Matter movement in both Dublin and worldwide last night, sharing her gratitude towards her follower’s response to the revolution.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Erica begins by saying thank you to all of the people who have reached out to her in recent days to show their solidarity with the movement.
“I’m so overwhelmed by all your love and support. I just have to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and asked if I’m okay” she said.

Continuing on, Erica says that this topic is something that she has been vocal about for much of her life, and she doesn’t plan on keeping quiet about it anytime soon.
“This issue is one that I have been screaming about for I don’t know how long, whether it’s through my music or Twitter
“We’re ready to really step up, this isn’t going to die here, this will keep moving, if you’re tired of what I’m posting I’m sorry, but we’ve been tired for years.”
Urging her fans, followers, and otherwise to continue to keep the conversation moving, the 24-year-old asks the public to continue to educate themselves by listening to others, promising that together we can and will see much-needed change within society.
“Please keep listening, I promise you this is not ending here.
“We stand together always”
