Ed Sheeran has made a statement regarding the use of one of his songs for a pro-life campaign.
The Lego House singer, who is in Ireland for a string of sold out shows, revealed that he did ‘not give his approval’ for the use of his song Small Bump by the No campaign in Ireland.
The song, which was originally written about a miscarriage suffered by a friend of Ed’s, had been used as part of the anti-abortion campaign, which Ed has now made clear the song is not about.
Ahead of his second of three gigs at the Phoenix Park in Dublin yesterday, the Grammy winner took to his Instagram story to clear up the situation, and insist that ‘it does not reflect what the song is about.”
Following on from his Galway show in Pearse Stadium last week, the singer made a huge donation to Irish charity COPE.
