Hollywood actress Sudan Sarandon has had nothing but nice things to say about Saoirse Ronan, as she praised young women in the movie industry.
The American star is in awe of how Saoirse utilises her career, but still has time for fun.
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar, Susan said, “Today I think there is a crop of young women who are interested in having fun and having lives but are not necessarily trying to please all the time, even though they are scrutinised constantly.
“Kristen Steward. Saoirse Ronan. These women are using their careers instead of being used by them.”
Elsewhere, Saoirse Ronan has opened up about her love for festivals – a woman after our own hearts.
She revealed that when she turned 21 last year, she couldn’t wait to go straight to one of the biggest outdoor festivals in the world: Coachella.
Speaking on Live! with Kelly and Michael, she said, “When I was 21, I thought the only place I should go to celebrate properly was America. So I went to Coachella, which was fun.
“I had never been to a festival before where there was sun. At home, it always rains. You’re always in the fields and up to needs in mud.”
It may be messy over here, but hey, doesn’t that just add to the fun?
