Cork’s own sporting heroes Paul and Gary O’Donovan arrived home to a warm welcome in Skibbereen last night. Hundreds turned out to celebrate the homecoming of the silver medalists.
Paul and Gary gained fame at the Rio Olympics for their epic performance in the the mens lightweight double skulls, and their hilarious interview skills!
The two lads arrived back to their hometown on an open-topped bus to a crowd of cheering fans, some even wore t-shirts with “O’Donovan Brothers” written across them.
It looks as if the entire population of Skibbereen were there!
