Hozier has been making the most of his time off this summer, spending his time in Ireland, and has now revealed that he has no plans of leaving the Emerald Isle any time soon.
Following his recent chart topping success, the singer has been enjoying some downtime over the past few weeks, but has been keeping his eyes peeled for inspiration for new music.
The Wicklow star is working on his second album at the moment, and while he’s “feeling the pressure,” has lots of things to write about from his time back home.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Hozier said, “I’m at home in Ireland for the next few months. I’m enjoying the quite time and working away. I’m writing, keeping the head down.
“There are a lot of things to draw from. I’m in the thick of it at the moment. I can’t even say what it’s about.
“Naturally, I’m feeling the pressure, but these things you just have to zone out from. Your only duty is to the music you feel you have to make.”
Elsewhere, the Bray native previously admitted to Idolater that he’s only too happy to spend time with his nearest and dearest after being away for almost two years.
“I’m gonna catch up with friends and family, close family members that I didn’t see a lot of over the past two years at great personal expense. It’s at great personal expense for your well-being.
“I’m not going to be sitting doing nothing. I’ll dive into arranging what I already have for the next album. And I’m gonna be on tour again. I’d go crazy if I wasn’t touring by next year,” he said.
We can’t wait to hear these new tracks when they’re finally released.
